Broxton brings pop to bottom of lineup

With Ryan Braun and Eric Thames ailing, the Milwaukee Brewers have had to look elsewhere for offense over the last few weeks. Fortunately for manager Craig Counsell, outfielder Keon Broxton is bringing some pop to the bottom of the Brewers’ lineup. After struggling to a .191/.276/.324 slash line in April, Broxton has been on fire over the last month, hitting out of the No. 7 spot and raising season average all the way to .271 after batting .347/.382/.611 from May 1-24.
