It is the third time Butler has been a semi-finalist to be enshrined as one of the best players in football history. He is a 4-time Pro-Bowler and a 4-time First Team All-Pro. He was also a member of the Packers back-to-back Super Bowl appearances in Super Bowl XXXI (when they won) and XXXII. He was one of the first players in NFL history to have 20 interceptions and 20 sacks in his career.
Zach Kruse summed it up perfectly:
LeRoy Butler (@leap36) was one of only 14 players to be a first-team All-Pro 4 or more times during the 1990s. The 13 others are all Hall of Famers.

Had the third-highest Approximate Value among DBs during the 1990s.
