MILWAUKEE- Milwaukee Brewers RF Christian Yelich has finished in second place to Cody Bellinger for the 2019 NL MVP race announced on Thursday night around 5:30 PM on MLB Network.

The Brewers responded to the results in their own way:

Yelich finished with astounding numbers despite only playing in 130 games due to back injuries and the broken knee cap that ended his season. Thje 2018 MVP hit .329 (which led the NL), smashed 44 home runs, and knocked in 97 RBI's.

Bellinger of the Los Angeles Dodgers, who took home the hardware on Thursday night, played in 156 games and hit 45 homers (only one more than Yelich), hit .305, and brought in 115 RBI's.

Washington Nationals 3B Anthony Rendon finished in third place.

In the American League, Mike Trout took home his third career AL MVP award.

The Brewers did pretty well in the award department this season. Josh Hader won the NL Reliever of the Year Award, Lorenzo Cain won the NL CF Gold Glove, Christian Yelich finished second in the NL MVP race, but won the Silver Slugger Award for RF, and Craig Counsell finished second in the NL Manager of the Year race.
