Should the Brewers take a crack at Keuchel?

Dallas Keuchel -- Cy Young Award winner, two-time All-Star and World Series champion starting pitcher -- remains a free agent as MLB Opening Day inches closer. A "broken" free agent system may be to blame for the top starting pitcher of the offseason remaining unsigned. It's the same system that saw the likes of Bryce Harper and Manny Machado remain unsigned until Spring Training, and other big names like Keuchel, closer Craig Kimbrel and outfielder Adam Jones still unsigned weeks into camp.

With a sub-three ERA in three of his seven MLB seasons, most recently in 2017, the 31-year-old Keuchel presumably has plenty left in the tank. Should the Brewers take a crack at him? National baseball insider Seth Everett, sports writer for, joined The Wendy’s Big Show to discuss that, and:

-Who is the favorite to win the NL Central?

-Are there players left on the market that can help the Brewers?

-How should the Brewers build their pitching staff around openers, out-getters, etc.?

-Should fans be concerned by poor Spring Training performances?

-Can the Brewers continue to benefit from a “broken” free agency system?
