Brewers return home to face Reds

Timetable set for injured Woodruff

MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers return to Miller Park for the first of a three-game set against the Reds, Monday night. The Crew is coming off a four-game swing in Arizona, where they won their second straight series -- the first time they've won back-to-back series since May. The Brewers also announced, Monday, that starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff has been placed on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain, suffered during his Sunday start against the Diamondbacks. Right-handed pitcher Burch Smith has been recalled from Triple-A San Antonio to fill the 25-man roster. Based on MRI results, the team expects Woodruff to miss six weeks with the injury.
