Packers lose Breeland, Brice in free agency

March 18, 2019 - 3:46 pm

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- As free agency reshapes the Green Bay Packers roster, specifically on defense, general manager Brian Gutekunst let a pair of defensive backs find new teams. Cornerback Bashaud Breeland, acquired mid-season in 2018, has agreed to a one-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs. Safety Kentrell Brice has agreed to a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Breeland started five of seven games played with the Packers last season. He recorded 20 tackles and two interceptions -- including a pick six against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

Brice had spent all three seasons of his NFL career in Green Bay. He became a starter at safety out of necessity, primarly last season when he started 10 of 14 games played. He has 91 tackles, one interception and one sack in his NFL career.

Does the loss of either player change your expectations, perception, etc. of the Packers' defense?
