PREVIEW: Brewers @ Cardinals GM1

Post Game coverage on Facebook Live!

ST. LOUIS -- Christian Yelich has belted eight of his 13 MLB-leading home runs against the St. Louis Cardinals this season. Yelich, and the other 24 guys that make up the Milwaukee Brewers, will try to carry that head-to-head success to the Gateway City on Monday for Game 1 against the Cardinals.

Adrian Houser will make the start, claiming the rotation spot held be recently-optioned Corbin Burnes. Burnes' 10.70 ERA in his first four starts prompted his demotion to Triple-A San Antonio late last week. Houser, set to make his 2019 big-league debut, joins the Brewers from that Triple-A squad. In his three minor-league starts this season, Houser tossed two shutouts as part of a 1.10 ERA -- success he and the team hope will translate to the Major-League level.

Jack Flaherty will start for St. Louis; he has made two starts against the Brewers this season. In his first, the Brewers scored four against him but ultimately lost the game. In his second, the Crew hung a five-spot on him after just two and two-thirds innings in an 8-4 win last Tuesday.

Mike Moustakas remains listed as day-to-day after fracturing his right ring finger in Saturday's win over the Dodgers.

The Crew is 5-2 in seven meetings -- all at Miller Park -- in the 2019 season series.

The FAN gets you set for the game with The Pella Windows and Doors of Wisconsin On Deck Show, presented by Allegra Allergy Relief, from 6-6:30 p.m. Post Game coverage will be on Facebook Live -- not over the air -- following the last pitch.
