MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers host the Cardinals on March 28 to start the 2019 Championship Season. Jhoulys Chacín will deliver the first pitch of that campaign, manager Craig Counsell announced, Tuesday.

It will be Chacín's third career Opening Day start; he started for the Padres in 2017 and the Rockies in 2013.

Chacín went 15-8 with a 3.50 ERA for the Brewers in the 2018 regular season. He posted a 1.46 ERA in three postseason starts. Our insider Adam McCalvy has more on the decision to pitch Chacín at Brewers.com.

Do you like the decision Brewers fans, or would you have gone with somebody else?
