The Brewers have optioned second baseman Keston Hiura to Triple-A San Antonio. The move clears a 25-man roster spot for the reinstatement of Travis Shaw from the injured list.

Hiura, the team's top prospect, hit .281 in 64 big-league at bats since being called up in May. He belted five home runs as part of his 18 hits, driving in nine runs with three walks and 23 strikeouts. Shaw, meanwhile, hit .235 in his Triple-A rehab; he recorded one extra-base hit (a home run) in 34 rehab at bats. He also struckout nine times while drawing seven walks.
