News broke on Friday afternoon that the Milwaukee Brewers will keep their entire baseball-operations staff intact for the 2020 season.

None of the Brewers baseball-operations staff will have to take pay cuts or worry about being furloughed.  According to reports, only top executives will take pay cuts.

This is great news for a small-market team like the Brewers. A majority of small-market clubs will lose a significant amount of revenue if there are no fans in the stands.

Other clubs have recently had to make tough decisions regarding the future of their own staff.  The Pittsburgh Pirates have temporarily furloughed and reduce pay for some of their staff members.  The Cubs, Angels, Marlins, and Reds have had to make the same or similar decisions.
