Wisconsin Badgers Head Football Coach Paul Chryst earned a $300,000 bonus per year on his contract, per Jason Galloway of the Wisconsin State Journal. Wisconsin also added contract incentives for Chryst if the team makes the Big Ten Championship game or the College Football Playoffs.

The Badgers head coach is 44-12 in four seasons in Madison which has included three, 10-win seasons. Wisconsin has been to the Big Ten Championship twice in that time but has not won.

Last season, Wisconsin went 8-5 overall and got a 35-5 victory over the Miami Hurricanes in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.

Chryst is now the ninth-highest paid head coach in the 14-team Big Ten Conference. His per-year salary is bumped up from $3.85 million to $4.15 million in his fifth season at Wisconsin. Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh will become the highest paid coach in the Big Ten in 2019 making $7.5 million per season.
