Green Bay, WI - The Green Bay Packers have signed wide receiver Davante Adams to a four year extension worth $58 million. Adams, who just turned 25-years-old December 24th, was paid an $18 million signing bonus, and will earn $32 million in the first two years of the four year deal, according to the NFL Network. The move clearly makes Adams the Packers #1 receiver moving forward, with questions to be answered about the futures of veteran receivers Randall Cobb, 27, and Jordy Nelson, 32, in Green Bay.

Only six receivers currently make at least $14 million each season, including the Steelers Antonio Brown, the Texans DeAndre Hopkins, the Bengals A.J. Green,  and the Falcons Julio Jones . Adams would have been hot commodity in free agency. The Packers decided to deal sooner than later to secure his services.

Adams (concussion), and Nelson (shoulder) have been ruled out for Sunday's game in Detroit against the Lions at noon. READ MORE
