Green Bay, WI - Matt LaFleur is serious. He wants a fullback in his offensive scheme.

Malcolm Johnson, a third year player out of Mississippi State, has been dealing with a groin injury the past week. Then fullback favorite Danny Vitale suffered a calf injury over the weekend.

Vitale was in the locker room Sunday and did not appear to be in serious pain.

With the Packers two fullbacks dealing with injuries, the team signed a six-year NFL veteran Tommy Bohanan on Monday.

Bohanan is a Florida native who played for Wake Forest, and was a 7th round pick for the New York Jets in 2013.

In 2014 he suffered a broken collar bone and missed most of the season.

In 2017 he was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars where he worked with Packers offensive coordinator Nathanial Hackett.

Bohanan, 6-foot-1, 246 lbs. played through a two - year contract worth $1.48 million, and became an unrestricted free agent this spring.

He has dedicated time this summer helping Southwest Florida food banks through his foundation: READ MORE HERE
