Green Bay, WI - Marcedes Lewis will give it a go for one more season with the Green Bay Packers.

The tight end will sign a one-year deal with the Packers with a base salary worth $2.25 million.

Lewis, who turns 36 this May, said at the end of last season he was probably in the best physical condition of his career because of how hard he trained in the offseason.

At the end of 2018, Lewis assumed he would not be back in Green Bay after his first season with Mike McCarthy. Lewis was hardly used.

It was Packers GM Brian Gutekunst who talked Lewis back into playing another season in Green Bay after McCarthy was fired.
