Total: 64-63-6

Carolina (+3.5) over PITTSBURGH

My theory on Thursday Night Football has been "take the home team unless it's short travel for the road team". That worked all season long until the Raiders got blown out in San Francisco last week. This week I put it to the test one more time, although I need to re-look at a map, Charlotte is not as close to Pittsburgh as I was thinking. I will go to my grave telling you that I actually liked the Steelers in this one, but I bet my morning show boys that the Panthers would win so that's the loss I have to take.

NEW YORK JETS (-7) over Buffalo

The more this season progresses the more shocking it is that Buffalo went to Minnesota and won a football game. And their other win was against a decent Titans team, so maybe they aren't as bad as it seems. But I'll take the Jets here in what will be another forgotten game this weekend.

CLEVELAND (+6) over Atlanta

Atlanta got a big road win in Washington last weekend, but I don't trust Atlanta on the road for two weeks in a row.

New Orleans (-6) over CINCINNATI

Saints are rolling right now and I'll stick with them. That's the analysis you came here for, correct?

Washington (+3) over TAMPA BAY

I am very very low on Washington but Tampa Bay doesn't like to score until they are already down 24+ points. I'll take Washington in a competitive yet boring affair.

New England (-7) over TENNESSEE

No Gronk again for the Pats and this is a tricky line but I'll go with the team I still think is the best in football.

Miami (+10) over GREEN BAY

I'm taking the Packers to win but this will look more like their win against the 49ers than their win against the Bills. Yes, it's possible Rodgers puts up 5 touchdowns and the Packers roll. Or is it?

Jacksonville (+3) over INDIANAPOLIS

I'm not ready to give up on Jacksonville.

CHICAGO (-7) over Detroit

Chicago has been getting some big spreads lately but they've been covering them, and Detroit looked so miserable last weekend, I'll ride with the Bears.

KANSAS CITY (-16.5) over Arizona

It seems too big until you realize it's the Arizona Cardinals at the road against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Los Angeles Chargers (-10) over OAKLAND

I want to take Oakland here and look smart when they pull off the upset, but if Nick Mullens carved up their defense, what will Philip Rivers do?

LOS ANGELES RAMS (-9.5) over Seattle

Rams have had Seattle's number ever for the last decade it seems and I like them to bounce back at home this week.

PHILADELPHIA (-7) over Dallas

Who will get fired first - Jason Garrett or Mike McCarthy?
