Last Week: 5-8-1
Season to Date:  24-35-1

I am not very good at this. Alas, the Week 6 picks

CAROLINA (-3.0) over Philadelphia

Again, not good at this

Green Bay (-3.0) over MINNESOTA

I've been very boisterous about this again this week, and several of you have chimed in about how annoying I am during Vikings week. I don't know what it is, but I take it very personal when Packer Nation seemingly goes out of their way to compliment and praise the Vikings, especially their defense. I don't think the Vikings defense is as good as we make them out to be. I also don't think the Packers defense is as bad as we make them out to be. There is no way on paper that the Packers should lose this game. And they won't.

ATLANTA (-12.5) over Miami

I said this a couple of weeks ago, but THIS will be the week that Julio Jones gets into the end zone. It has to be! I do like a big day from the Falcons offense at home and wouldn't be surprised to see Jay Cutler yanked in this one in favor of Matt Moore.

NEW ORLEANS (-4.0) over Detroit

A loss would make it three straight losses for Detroit, which I think this team is better than but I really like what the Saints are putting together. I think their defense is better than anticipated and you can't count out Drew Brees. Saints do just enough to cover but plenty to win.

New England (-9.0) over NEW YORK JETS

Everyone is down on New England's defense even though they held Tampa Bay to just 14 points last Thursday. Don't let the Jets 3-2 record fool you. The Pats in a rout.

San Francisco (+10.5) over WASHINGTON

Washington is either going to win by 10 and just miss the over or lose by three. Those are the only options. So I think the Niners get the cover.

Chicago (+6.5) over BALTIMORE

I'm very very down on the Ravens and Joe Flacco, even proclaiming them to be officially done a week ago. And then they destroy the Raiders last week, so there is still life in that team. I think that Trubisky could possibly pull off the upset here but even if not, I like Chicago to keep it close.

HOUSTON (-9.0) over Cleveland

This was going to be my Survivor Pool pick of the week but I just switched it and I'm going with the Packers instead. The Browns will not go winless, we just have no idea when that first win is going to come. I don't think it will be this weekend but I wouldn't be surprised if the bad Texans showed up here. Still, I'll take Houston to cover but with minor confidence.

Tampa Bay (-1.5) over ARIZONA

I think Tampa rebounds in a game where Adrian Peterson believers finally give up.

JACKSONVILLE (-2.5) over Los Angeles Rams

I took the Rams on the air, and I do like the Rams, but I'm going to switch over to the Jaguars. I read on the ESPN power rankings that with their poor division and their talent, the Jags are suddenly playing with about an 88 percent chance to make the playoffs. Insane. But I've always believed! You can do it Jacksonville!

KANSAS CITY (-3.5) over Pittsburgh

Big Ben is showing signs of wear and tear, but usually Pittsburgh is able to answer after tough losses like the one they had in Jacksonville. But I still believe the Chiefs keep it rolling. I wouldn't be shocked if Pittsburgh was able to pull it off, but when my money is on the line I'm going to keep it on the Chiefs.

OAKLAND (-3.5) over Los Angeles Chargers

The 0-4 Chargers beating the 0-4 Giants was actually the most shocking result of the week to me last week. Oakland, with Derek Carr back, will send them back to their losing ways.

New York Giants (+11.5) over DENVER

The Giants are bad and they have no receivers but I think the spread is just a little too high. Tough game for NBC to be airing on a Sunday Night.

TENNESSEE (NL) over Indianapolis

With or without Mariota, I like Nashville to come out and come alive for their Titans on Monday night and I like the Titans to respond.

Five or six of those games will be predicted accurately, good luck figuring out which ones!
